I've been volunteering for a while now at Dibert Elementary School in Mid City.  My little students always amaze me!  They have boundless creativity!  I hope to teach them love for art and more~to go after what they dream that they can be~We share a bond that will follow me forever~~~

Hand made jewelry and paintings~

The Expo is less than a week away.  I'm still busy painting small canvasses and creating little odd pieces of jewelry and what-not~  I love what I do, and I believe in my art, but will the world ever notice?~

~Been painting less of the large landscapes lately and focusing on small odd things like boxes and making paper jewelry. very quirky and whimsical! Then I discovered this video that I created a while back~-a few paintings have sold and it's good to see them again. • I've been working lovingly on  my new painted/collage jewelry collection-shown below.  They are really unique, colorful, a little weird and I love making them. 
  I'm participating in a Natural Living Expo on Saturday October 12th in the Pontchartrain Center just outside of New Orleans.  There will be an artists loft, where I will show my paintings, painted matchboxes and other found objects as well as my new jewelry....
  Looking forward to it with excitement (and a little anxiety!)
  Whole Food Market is interested in carrying my paper jewelry for the coming holiday season~

upcoming art fair in Gulf Breeze

I have been busily preparing for my first art fair, coming up in only 6 more days, March 8 & 9!  Alexis and I will be traveling to Gulf Breeze, Florida for the 2 day festival entitled, "Gulf Breeze Celebrates the Arts."  We have acquired a 10'x10' canopy with screen walls for our booth space (#134,) secured a large vehicle to move very large pieces, created cards and prints of artwork, reserved a condo on the beach, and are, with only minor trepidation, very ready to go!  In general my confidence is high and I have more than enough landscape art of varying sizes to fill my space!  Beach, Art, Friends...the best things in life~cheryl    www.cherylgautierart.com
